Olney Model Railway Club exhibition After a turbulent year with a relocation to deal with, Olney Model Railway Club are back %u2013 bigger and better for 2025 %u2013 with the entirety of the Olney Centre and a selection of layouts of all sizes (and traders) to suit young and old.The exhibition is happening on Saturday 13th September at The Olney Centre, High Street, Olney MK46 4EF and will be open from 10:30am until 4pm. Scout Camp SuccessNearly 400 Cub Scouts (boys and girls aged 8 to 10) and 90 volunteers (aged 18+) from across Buckinghamshire spend an action-fi lled weekend at PACCAR campsite in Chalfont. Activities the children were able to participate in ranged from archery to caving, circus skills to high ropes, pedal karts to tomahawk throwing, and water rockets to a 3G swing.Emma King, Lead volunteer for Cub Scouts in Buckinghamshire, said, %u201cEvents like this take a lot of planning, organising and delivering. When you see the children coming back from the activities with huge smiles on their faces, you are pretty sure that you got it right. It%u2019s an enormous eff ort from a dedicated team of volunteers to organise an event like this. Dan chose to put on charity concert for Cancer Research after losing several friends and colleges to cancer, including a young violinist that performed on his latest album. The concert is taking place on Saturday 4th October at Olney Baptist Church Hall and features Dan on his dulcimer, supported by popular singer Cara Bo and international jazzman Andy Crowdy on bass and guitar.Admission to the concert is free and donations to Cancer Research will be graciously received.
