The village team, called Yardley2Ukraine, had a successful trip last year and are planning to leave for the war-torn state on 12th April this time. They will leave on a Saturday to ensure they are driving through Europe on a Sunday, taking advantage of quieter roads.That trip in 2024 revealed just how much help is still needed, so the friends are rallying resources to provide critical supplies for their upcoming visit.%u201cI%u2019m reaching out to ask for your support with a meaningful project,%u201d says volunteer Rebecca Cullum. %u201cItems we%u2019re looking to be donated are as follows:%u2022 Vehicles: Cars, car parts%u2022 Electrical: Generators, drones%u2022 Communication Essentials: SIM cards, mobile phones, charging leads, plugs, power banks%u2022 Medical Supplies: Tactical first aid kits, surgical gloves, CPR face shields, decompression kits, medical scissors, intubation tubes, intravenous catheters, intraosseous catheters%u2022 Winter Supplies: Blankets, sleeping bags, power banks, heaters, fuel, shelter materials, PVC, and plywood%u2022 Hygiene Products: Toothpaste, toothbrushes, nappies, sanitary pads, paper towels, disinfectants, rubbing alcohol, masks (disposable/reusable)%u2022 Food: Instant meals, dried fruit, formula milk, nuts, canned food, cereals%u2022 Plates: Reusable plates, cups, and cutlery%u2022 Baby Supplies: Nappies and other baby items%u2022 School Supplies: Backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils%u201cIf a donation of supplies isn%u2019t possible, we%u2019d be incredibly grateful for any contributions via our GoFundMe page,%u201d adds Rebecca.More details: Facebook Yardley 2 Ukraine, and GoFundMe GoFundMe Yardley 2 Ukraine Fundraiser.The %u2018Donations Spring 2025%u2019 campaign has started well with many generous contributions of vital supplies and equipment going to the BAMK UK appeal over the last weeks.
