MK Dancers are Champions
 Afabulously successful weekend of competition dancing in Blackpool, saw the Milton Keynes Dance Centre return proudly with eight new National Rock n Roll Champions.
The IOTA Nationwide Dance finals in Blackpool was attended by over 70 dance students from M KDC, each of whom had qualified through heats to earn their place and compete against dancers from all over the country. It would be fair to say they stole the show, coming back having scored top honours in four Rock n Roll classes, and creating eight new National championships, with a further four couples ranking in runners up positions.
M KDC's two Freestyle Disco children's teams, Team "Tribal" for age 9 and under, and Team "Skream" for 1 3 and under, also both excelled by finishing 2nd and 3rd in their categories respectively.
Debra Young, MKDC Principal said: "We are absolutely bursting with pride at these results. We now have eight national champions and 38 finalists in the school. This is one of our best results ever. All the competitors, children and adults, put up an excellent pe ormance, they are a credit to the school and have really put Milton Keynes in the dancing spotlight."
