We begin this update with the very sad news that Tanya Cartmell, a former ladies player, has passed away. Tanya played for the ladies team for many years, and was part of the squad that won the National Challenge Cup in 2005. She continued playing second row for the team even after her initial treatment for cancer. Off the pitch Tanya was a great supporter of the rugby club and also cooked match teas and cleaned the club for a time. She will be greatly missed by many people - our thoughts are with her family at this very sad time 1 st XV Results The senior side has achieved a mixed bag of results over the last month with losses to Old Scouts, High Wycombe and Newbold on Avon. The beginning and end of October however were bookended with two solid away victories against Market Harborough and BBOB's. More recently, the team has started November in the same vein, with a 33-9 demolition of Oadby Wyggestonians followed by a 34-3 loss to our close rivals a short trip north up the 509, Wellingborough. The move to a new league was always going to be tough and throw up some interesting matches. At the time of going to press, the team currently lies mid-table with plenty of potential to climb the table in the new year. Olney RFC November News Props needed Are you a former prop?
