6 Phonebox Magazine | October 2025Boxing clever Earls Barton%u2019s bi-annual Soap Box Derby proved to be a runaway success with a dazzling array of entries.The theme of %u2018World Sightseeing Tour%u2019 brought out some clever and exciting cart designs. Riders wowed a large crowd of people from Earls Barton and surrounding towns %u2013 including Olney and Newport Pagnell %u2013 as they raced downhill through the town%u2019s High Street. Fourteen carts took part, with winner Chris Reece and %u2018Musk Do Better%u2019 posting a victorious time of 35.56 seconds.
