This year%u2019s fast food fest was a whopper %u2013 and a highly successful one at that. The organising committee of the annual food, drink and entertainment celebration can rightfully be proud of themselves. And the volunteers, musicians, comedians and entertainers who made 2025%u2019s food festival the soaraway sensation that it was, should take a bow too.And let%u2019s not forget the local people and residents from towns and villages outside of Olney, who turned up to support this massive fi esta and who behaved themselves impeccably to keep the event a happy and safe one.I visited BOFF over the weekend and was both amazed at the numbers, and delighted to see so many people getting together, laughing, joking, enjoying some food and generally having a good time.%u00a0BOFF has certainly cemented its place in Olney%u2019s history as a highlight of the local entertainment calendar, and it will, I am sure, go on to be a %u2018buzz%u2019 event of our town for years to come. The reason for my weekend visit was to capture some photos of the fun and merry-making, and you can see many of them in our roundup on page 32. It%u2019s certainly a heart-warming experience to see so many residents gathering in one spot %u2013 our brilliant Market Place %u2013 and having a collective great time.Among those residents were a large group of our young people, enjoying their own kind of music from the likes of DJ Joe Peel, who opened up proceedings on Saturday night. As Olney expands and new families come to live here, we will see growing numbers of teenagers and young people, and I welcome that. This town has a remarkable ability to get together and join forces for a common good, and BOFF was a perfect example of that unity. It%u2019s great to see the event developing and growing, and that bodes well for the future. So, let%u2019s hope BOFF organisers have plans for a 2026 Big Olney Food Festival and I%u2019ll certainly drink %u2013 and eat %u2013 to that!Ron Hall, Editor
