This was this year%u2019s fi rst of four rounds, in the Olney Centre, with a total of 32 digital images entered in two categories; judged by Paul Nickerson. No matter %u2013 the competition ended well, and early.%u201cOpen%u201d Category(Open = whatever image subject you like)Quiet Refl ection and Winter Feed both by Bryan Day (Joint 1st Place)Of Quiet Refl ection the judge said: %u201cThe clouds are building up and the water is zig-zagging around, leading to the mountains in the background. Then you have the refl ections of the mountains in the water.%u201dOf Winter Feed the judge said: %u201cIt%u2019s in the winter time, the frost is on the ground, the herd of sheep in the middle with another two by the open gate there. The tree is holding it in. It%u2019s out of focus and there is movement as well. We have the stem, and the shadow of the stem as well at the bottom. There is not much more you could do to this one.%u201d
