Happy retirement Gill
OuR lOvely OlNey postlady, Gill Gray, has retired.
Residents on her round got together a collection which was handed over to Gill at a goodbye cuppa at Pegasus.
Letter from Gill
After 30 years of delivering the post in and around Olney, and reaching my 60th year, I decided it was time to retire.
Residents had kind words and wished me well and I retired quietly or so I thought. Several weeks into my retirement, my daughter and grandson insisted in taking me out for a coffee, where I was kidnapped by Annie Walker and taken to Pegasus Court for a wonderful surprise retirement get together. Residents from all over my round were there and after a lovely speech from Elizabeth Knight I was presented with beautiful flowers, a most generous collection and lots of cards and good wishes.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved, I’m still getting over the surprise, and special thanks to Liz Crouch, Annie Walker and all at Pegasus.
Here’s to a long and happy retirement – see you all around. Gill Gray
