My Journey from Summer 2008 to Summer 2009
Summer 2008.....
Summer of 2008, I remember sitting at a bar at
a campsite in France, thoroughly depressed ...
couldn't walk far without losing my breath ...
wouldn't go swimming with the kids as I felt like
I realise now that I had never learnt to live without certain foods (carbs and chocolate) or the affect food especially sugars have on our bodies leading to cravings.
On the 12th September 2008 I picked up my plan, my blood tests had come back ok except for my cholesterol, so apart from red meat being restricted
and no shellfish, I had no other limitations. I spent the weekend studying the plan, planning my meals for the week and buying the seeds and
Another few pounds bit the dust over that period and in early February 2009 I started on Lifestyle. I was still about 7 pounds over my original target but was happy with where I was and from past experience thought I may lose a few more pounds. This proved to be the case and over the next few weeks the weight continued to disappear whilst I adjusted to Lifestyle and another dress size bit the dust. I had my bloods redone in January 2009 and my cholesterol was OK and I could reintroduce shellfish.
It's now almost two years since that camping holiday, I have maintained my weight though it does fluctuate slightly but I have learnt what I can and can't eat. If I have treats, which I do, then I have to balance them with good days. I stick to the basic rules that Sureslim taught me, plenty of water, leave 5 hours between meals and no snacking. I wish I'd walked through those doors earlier. At last I've found a way of eating for life.

Whilst on that holiday, I mentioned to my husband that I was thinking of going to Sureslim in the high street, but it was expensive. I then did some further research when we returned,
hungry, soon adjusted to the plan and
fortunately didn't suffer from detox. The pounds
