Christmas at Tickford Park School
Festivities were in full swing at Tickford Park, beginning with our annual trip to Harben House to see the exhibition of our Christmas artwork. For over ten years Harben House has held a competition with a prize in each year for the best entry. All thirteen classes from Foundation to Year 6 took part and were made welcome when they visited. This years prize giving was attended by staff from Harben House and the Mayor of Milton Keynes.
Our fantastic choir attended the switch on of the Christmas light in Newport Pagnell as well as singing in Middleton Hall, opening our Christmas Fair and the Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Fire Authority service at St Peter and St Paul’s Church.
Our Christmas Fair, organised by the Friends of Tickford Park was a great success with stalls manned by staff and pupils. We also thank the Friends for the lovely gifts to each class distributed by Father Christmas at the Christmas party and the Rotary club for our Christmas trees.
Performances were held across the school and enjoyed by parents and special guests from Chartwell Flats. We were fortunate to again use St Peter and St Paul’s Church as the beautiful setting for our year 5 performance The True Meaning of Christmas.
We hosted parties for all ages from our Sure Start Centre, through River meadow, our pre school up to our older pupils in Year 6 and all were much enjoyed.
Our thanks go to all who made this Christmas another memorable one at Tickford Park.
