Beer and Bangers in Sherington
It was Beer and Bangers aplenty last May Bank Holiday Weekend at the yearly held Beer and Sausage festival at the White Hart in Sherington. People of all ages congregated at the village to
cultivate their good selves in the world of ales and, of course, sausages. The lucky attendees had a choice of over 50 ales and ciders to choose from and by the end of the night it appeared as though some may have accomplished sampling the entire accumulation of barrels on display. [Must check expenses form, Ed]
The event was packed as people flocked to the pub via bus, car, taxi and either on bikes or foot. How many made their way home may be harder to recall – I believe I fall into this category and place the finger of blame solely on the 7.5% cider and the devilish ‘Old Growler’ ale.
Despite the impression I might possibly be giving you, the event proved to be a great family day out for many with the kids amusing their selves, cheerfully playing together in the sun. The highlight at the end proved to be how many plastic beer cups they could stack on top of each other.
Music was also provided and I got my wish of listening to The Bolivian Sunshine Dogs with ale in one hand, sausage on a stick in the other. The band helped set the mood with their locally renowned ‘Canyons of your Mind’ and ‘Monster Mash’ and kept people amused as they queued to get a taste of the twenty or so sausages being cooked on the BBQ.
I think everyone would agreed that it was another great weekend. (M.S.)

Why not give us a visit and find out whatʼs going on?
Pigments of Imagination was created earlier this year and is a partnership consisting of Nicky Gutteridge and Jo Kerr (niece and auntie).
Pigments of Imagination is dedicated to the memory of Michael Kerr (Jo's husband and Nicky's uncle) who died on Boxing Day 2007 following a battle with brain cancer. He always encouraged Nicky to follow her dream and use her art degree to pursue her tattooing career.
Nicky is very talented and after obtaining her art degree trained as a tattoo artist. A lot of her work is custom and therefore every tattoo that she does is totally personal to you. When it became obvious to Mike that he was not going to live to see her fulfill her dream he left it in my hands to make sure that I support her in every way possible, to give her every chance of succeeding. Throughout Mike's illness we talked about all his wishes and I have carried them all out as he wanted them as much as I possibly could. This is the final wish that I am trying to fulfill so this is the story so far.
Nicky and I had talked for numerous hours about the concept of setting up a buisiness together and in February this year our plans started to take shape. We found appropriate premises, formed a partnership and Pigments Of Imagination started to become a reality.
Throughout Mike's illness we had a massive amount of support from Willen Hospice and it has always been our aim to give something back. A donation from every tattoo will be donated directly to the hospice. The shop is dedicated to Mike's memory, he always wanted his name in lights, we couldn’t quite do that because of council planning restrictions but his name is on our sign and we are sure he is looking down on us.
