Burrows about his village garage and Christa Pumfrey, about matters relating to being a multi- village vicar. Gill also interviewed Martin Cooper, the judge for the vegetable and fruit classes.
What a coup for the village!
The increased number of visitors helped to swell takings on the door, the auction, the tombola, the raffle, the teas and the
cakes. This enabled the Show to raise just under £750, an increase of £200 over last year. This money will be donated to the Village Hall Fund and will go some way to paying for the thousands of pounds required to maintain a facility, which is used by various groups during the year.
In summary, a successful event thanks to a hard-working committee, an amazing range of exhibits, judges who kindly gave their services free, lots of visitors and BBC Three Counties Radio, which added a new dimension to the Show. K
Thanks
I would like to thank everyone who came to my Coffee Evening in aid of The British Legion (Olney Branch) and SAFFA.
A total of £140 was collected of which £70 went to the British Legion and £70 to SAAFA.
