Olney Town Cricket Club
Indoor cricket nets at Olney Middle School are now in full swing for both youth and adults, and it is good to see so many new faces turning up. Anyone interested in coming to nets should contact Stuart Keeping on 07900 803122. The nets will continue until Friday 25 April. Outdoor nets for adults will be held every Friday throughout the season in the Club’s nets adjacent to the cricket pavilion.
The Club will be holding its Youth Registration evening on Wednesday 23 April 2008 from 6pm at the Olney Cricket Pavilion. Do pop along if you want to register your sons or daughters. We start taking youth members from the age of six (for our nursery section run on Sunday mornings) up to age 16 for our Colts. Youth Registration forms will be available on the day to fill in, but if you want to have one in advance so that you can fill in all the details then please email David Harrison at dvdharrison@aol.com and he will send you a blank form. Youth membership for the 2008 season has been kept at last year’s level of £30.
The cricket season proper will be kicking off on Saturday 26 April and we have a full season of games on both Saturdays and Sundays, through to the end of August. Fixture cards will be available shortly and can be obtained from Stephen Oakley.
The pre-season get-together will be at the pavilion on the evening of Friday 18 April. The bar will be open and curry will be served to usher in the new season. 2008 Club cricket shirts (sponsored by Stephen Oakley, Estate Agents) and jumpers will be available to purchase on the evening.
