The Club’s Centenary celebrations are well under way with the latest success being the Centenary Dinner The next events will b social evenings with guests t be held on Fridays June 2nd and 16th followed by a ‘Club social evening with a difference’ on Friday July 28th. The ‘difference’ is that on this occasion founder members will only be admitted if accompanied by both parents!
The exciting prestige fixtures started with London Welsh v. Hunts C.B.A. on May 28th. Sunday June 4t brings the B.C.B.A. under 25s to play Middlesex under 25s. We entertain Bucks V.P., on June 16th and the Leicester Tourists on June 18th. Plus B.C.B.A. v. Beds C.B.A. on Tuesday June 27th In addition to all that, the ladies will be competing for the Trundall Trophy and the men for the Bucks Cup.
The ‘glamourous’ fixtures continue with B.C.B.A. v. Middlesex Home Counties on saturday July 1st and B.C.B.A. v. Kent in he Middleton Cup n July 8th. The English Bowls Association will be our guests on July 27th.
We are able to accommodate these prestigious fixtures because of the high standard of our green and the pleasant ambience of the club house and surroundings. We would like to invite visitors to come and enjoy these facilities and some first class bowling. You may even use the bar if you get a member to sign you in.
The ‘jollifications’ continue during August and will be forecast in the next issue of Phonebox Magazine. d
