Three Counties Radio visit the Icetwice Gallery in Olney . . .

Kim Thonger of Icetwice Gallery in Olney, after a suggestion by Michael Stanley, director of MKG, recently offered seven artists (Kelly Blyth, Anthony Carr, Paul Denton, Kate Parrott, Emma Wilde, Simon Wright and Clive Caswell) the chance to produce an exhibition in
the offices above the
gallery using abandoned office equipment . . . which was later
put in the hands of Olney Freecycle after the exhibition.
On the last day of the exhibition Three Counties Radio spent the day broadcasting from the offices and a wide range of local people were interviewed during the day. (Including yours truly, but as my picture is already on the preceding page I’m not going to overdo things!!).
ICETWICE is an intriguing, innovative and entertaining contemporary commercial art gallery in the heart of Olney. Minimalist and functional, but very welcoming. It’s all very modern, white walls and ceilings, black rubber floors, dramatic tungsten halogen lighting.
Icetwice opened in November 2005 and is already expanding into much larger spaces
next door and upstairs.
The leftover furniture, stationery equipment and all manner of other matter was used to create a series of fascinating and ephemeral artworks. Icetwice web site has a callendar of events for the year - check them out on www.icetwice.com d
