40 Phonebox Magazine | June 2025Popular car show roars back into the Market PlaceNewport Pagnell and Olney Lions Club, in association with the Olney Classic Car Club are once again bringing Motorama to the Market Place in Olney this month. The Lions%u2019 Trevor Aldred explains.This year will once again see a wide range of cars on display, including fantastic Ferraris, astonishing Aston Martins, juicy Jaguars, magnifi cent MGs, brilliant Bentleys, and other makes of car from 1916 to the present day. We also hope to have a superb range of unusual and early motorcycles.We have once again applied for road closure orders for the two adjacent roads and rear car park, which will enable us to maintain the event and have room enough to contain a large number of entrants.As usual, we will run a competition in several classes and expect to have some unusual feature vehicles.%u00a0 We anticipate that most shops and bars in and around the Market Place will be open, and it should be a fun day, so come down and wallow in nostalgia or maybe take a look at the future!%u00a0Buy a programme for a %u00a31 donation. Bring the kids and let them vote for their favourite car. There will be a raffl e prize draw on the day. Rides in some of the entrant vehicles will be available as prizes. As you might expect, public parking will be limited on the day, so please walk down to the Market Place if you can.We would once again like to acknowledge the large number of businesses within Olney that are helping us make this a successful event through their generous sponsorship.
