There were woofs and barks aplenty on May Bank Holiday Monday as 22 dogs took part in The Cinnamon Trust Big Walk in Emberton Country Park. The walk was held to celebrate the Trust%u2019s 40th anniversary, and 45 walks were held all over the country to try and raise vital funds for the work that the charity does. The Cinnamon Trust is the only specialist national charity which seeks to relieve the anxieties, problems and sometimes injustices faced by elderly and terminally ill people and their pets. The Trust was founded in 1985 and provides peace of mind to those concerned about their pet%u2019s future. Pets are often regarded as family, and depend on owners to keep them safe, happy, and healthy. Therefore, making advance provisions for your pet in the event of your passing is crucial. Many of the people who register their pets with the Trust are older, and some are facing terminal illness, while others live sheltered lives without friends or family who can take care of their pets if something happens to them.%u00a0If you want to know more about The Cinnamon Trust, please visit www.cinnamon.org.uk - the charity is always looking for volunteer dog walkers and fundraising opportunities.
