Combining concert appearances with collecting sounds from around the world as half of alternative folk sensation India Electric Co., Cole Stacey certainly has experience under his belt.The Devon man has drawn on his touring experiences playing bass, synths and mandolin on tour with music legend Midge Ure, including being on stage at The Royal Albert Hall, the Westfalenhalle Arena in Germany, a 700-year-old castle in Gdansk and the Glastonbury Festival.And now a new album fi nally brings Cole Stacey home. %u2018Postcards From Lost Places%u2019 is the debut, off ering regeneration as its theme while being rooted in tradition. At its heart is an association of %u2018lost%u2019 places and forgotten words, stretching as far back as the 13th century, paired with Cole%u2019s distinctive lyrical song writing and soft pop vocals. Each track %u2013 or postcard %u2013 off ers a snapshot of a creative soul and a glimpse into a wealth of audio stories waiting to be told. This album off ers the chance to read a diary entry, says Cole, refl ecting a goal of not attempting to attain perfection, but to share stories of places and people with an alternative view of the world, of who they are and how they see it.Since 2015 Cole has been accompanying legendary pop icon Midge Ure across sold-out tours of Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Scandinavia and Germany. Shows with the Human League at Hammersmith Apollo and headline concerts at the likes of The Royal Albert Hall have also been plentiful in recent years.With explorations into traditional song writing and verse in his blood, Cole will be sharing his debut album in early 2025 to audiences far beyond his Dartmoorian horizons. And he kicks off the tour at The Stables, in Milton Keynes next month. Cole Stacey will be at The Stables on Friday 7th February, the same day as the release of his album %u2018Postcards From Lost Places%u2019.
