ur challenge was to complete the national three peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden) and
cycle in between them within ve days. So over the five days we travelled 720km on the bikes, climbing 8200m taking 44 hours and consuming 17,000 calories. 45km on foot climbing 3047m taking 16 hours and consuming 4,300 calories. dark day, I caught a bit of a chill coming down from Ben Nevis as the weather changed so quickly. Also my feet were blistered from running down in my walking boots to catch up with the other guys. It didn’t help that day 2 was the longest day on the bikes. Still I kept my legs turning and plodding on mostly at the back of line. As I simply couldn’t let anyone down most of all William. I must admit that whilst at the back I did have a cry to myself, which really helped me sort my life out and keep going. During this challenge we had some signs that William approved of us doing this crazy event. Such as starting from Fort William, Crook Memorial Hall and Rainbows coming out after the storms. Seeing these places made me feel so proud of this challenge. Adam, Tim, Ed and Stephen kept on saying that they needed to get me through it to complete
