the task that we had set out to do. Which again made me feel very loved and honoured to do this for William. Billy the eagle also travelled with me for the journey, so he also went through the weather conditions we encountered. Although he didn’t burn the calories or feel the fatigue. But to be fair he did a fantastic job supporting the others and myself.
Out of the three mountains we climbed I found Scafell the most difficult, although I have climbed it before, we went a different way and my feet were in bits.
I really enjoyed doing this challenge despite my low day, but just the support from friends, family and even complete strangers is just simply mind blowing. (I got talking to a lady as we went up Ben Nevis on day 1 and she was on her phone donating. How crazy is that). So thank you everyone very much. Trek in Milton Keynes gave us a big box of goodies, such as tubes, gels, hydration tablets, foods etc. which we demolished and very much needed, 2Pedalz in Olney gave us some tyres which we also needed as we had 5 punctures between the four of us, friends have given me stuff to help out (I’m not allowed to name them but they know who they are) without the support from you guys and Stephen Hickman (our driver, meal sorter, porter) I would have never been able to complete this.
