Building a Fairy Garden
A Hidden Gem
Reuse an old plastic butter tub or shallow pot F
by lling it with soil and adding a couple of small succulents and owers. Remember not to over ll the garden too much, as the plants will grow and spread over time. Gather some small pebbles to make a path, and even make a tiny house out of twigs if you can! Find a quiet spot in for your fairy garden and it’ll be perfect for bees and ladybirds... And maybe even a couple of fairies!

Ideally, if you can nd some wooden pallets to reuse, this is the perfect structure for your house. After layering your pallets one on top of the other – ideally the structure will be about four to ve pallets high – you can then begin to ll in the gaps with twigs, small logs, leaves and broken ceramic pot or bricks. You will need to leave the house to mature in a quiet area of your garden for a few months but even after a just a couple of weeks you’ll see bugs and beasties making homes in there!
