eventful few months
Olney Tennis Club
would like to thank Groundsman Bob Marsh for his efforts!
I’m sure that the majority of people in Town will be aware that the Football Club was targeted not once but twice by burglars. Whilst the damage and mess was considerable the fact is that the Football Club has very little of value on site these days. However, unfortunately on both occasions the insurance excess was greater than both clean up bills so the Football Club have had to fund these ourselves, although special thanks to 3 Shires Glazing for their prompt actions!!! Sponsor Packages are still available for businesses in the local area!
As ever on Match Days the Clubhouse will be open serving drinks from our well stocked bar, hot drinks and snacks from the FC Diner as well as giving everyone the opportunity to participate in our fundraising whether it be the 200 Club or the weekly meat raf e (kindly sponsored by TA Bennett & Sons).

Trophy Semi- nalists!
power and easily saved. Despite the missed penalties Newport should have won the match after dominating the second half, but were unable to turn their possession into goals. Newport recovered from that disappointment to win 2-0 away against Rothwell Corinthians, which increased the gap to the teams below them as Holbeach lost that day and Deeping, like Newport the previous week, could only manage a draw with lowly Northampton Sileby Rangers. Come along to Willen Road and enjoy a cup semi- nal and some important league matches in March!

The team now sit two points clear at the top of the table and a win in their next match will see the team promoted.
The Mixed B team drew against a previously unbeaten Winslow side thanks to Sarah Wilkinson, Mandy Elliott, Tim Ball and Chris Wright.
The Mixed D team had a tough match at Newport Pagnell against a strong side and just lost 3-5. The Olney ladies of Ruth Ayling and Margaret Currie played particularly well in the gales along with Stuart Ayling and Simon Barter.
The Mixed A lost their rst match of the season against a very useful David Lloyd side despite battling efforts of previously unbeaten Nick Raper, Ian Fuller, Eleanor Carter and Katie Bennett.
