Anon I was just curious to know why the foot path along the stretch of the A509 from the Filgrave turning and down towards Embe on was being dug up and re-surfaced. There is probably a legitimate reason printed somewhere that I have failed to read. Having been one of the few walkers, I would say, to have travelled this path since its bi h, I am stumped. Compared to some roads that will no doubt need repairing in the coming winter months, this particular footpath certainly didn't resemble one found in down-town Beirut. Unlike the state of some of our roads before they have damaged umpteen vehicles. While I am in moaning mode, why was such a high kerb ever built along side that very same stretch of road? A car could have been easily pushed onto the grass verge if broken down but now long tail-backs can be enjoyed by motorists as on-coming traffic never likes to give way. Who can blame them as once that starts everyone wants to get passed. Pity the stranded driver being honked at. I'm sure someone can answer my first moan and maybe the second.
