MARCH: Robinsons Wine Bar Seriously - two course meal for £3. 1 0. Every Thursday. Soup to start, and on this occasion, a fabulous belly pork. APRIL: The Bell and Bear, Emberton I do like a good pie. And these were proper pies, with pastry all the way around. Do hope it is an annual event. MAY: Break st at Home A home-cooked breakfast with Amazing Grains bread bought the night before from the pub. Always a special treat. JUNE: The Three Fyshes, Turvey A fabulous meal at this restaurant, with a nice summers evening walk to get there. Pictured, confit of duck. JULY - Sportsman, Whitstable Probably the foodie highlight of the year Seaside pub with posh, non-pretentious food. Photo: carrot and mozarella salad AUGUST - Cornish Beef Festival, The Bull Nothing like a beer festival, but when accompanied with Cornish pasties and home-cooked sausages, it gets better still SEPTEMBER - Big Olney Food Festival Too many fabulously lovely things to tempt the taste buds on this buzzing local night. Pictured Paella OCTOBER - Malt Masterchef, The Bull A third mention for the Bull, but each one so very different. This time a whisky and food matching session. Photo: venison NOVEMBER Asha's, Birmingham A special mention for this superb Indian restaurant in the centre of Birmingham. Spicy battered fish and the best Biriyani ever DECEMBER- Dickens, Olney Streetfood, Olney style. A bun too big to get your mouth round packed with turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce, all washed down with mulled wine. 42 Phonebox Magazine
