                                 Dickens of a Christmas
  The Biggest Yet
ickens Day in Olney was held this year on Sunday, 8th December. The weather was cool and crisp, as befits a traditional Victorian event, but the sun was out and there were blue skies to enjoy. With numerous stalls, selling things from mulled cider and wine to Christmas gifts, and numerous tombolas with prizes to be won, everyone had lots to do. The stallholders were all dressed in Victorian outfits, as were a number of attendees, adding to the Victorian feel of the event. Children were entertained by fairground rides, a Punch and Judy show and, of course, having a chance to meet and feed the reindeer in Fountain Court. The town saw record numbers of visitors, and traders
   reported a brisk day's trading.
