Lavendon Ladies Indulgence Evening The first social fundraising event for Lavendon Pre-school has been a great success, seeing 1 50 local women descend upon Lavendon to enjoy a night of pampering and shopping delights from an array of local businesses. 1 3 therapists offered every single person through the door a holistic or beauty treatment of their choice, with many ladies returning for more throughout the evening. Alongside the pampering delights, 25 local traders from Lavendon, Olney and surrounding villages, set up shop for the evening, displaying and selling their products. All of the goods on offer were items to treat the mind, body and home. Our guests enjoyed a few glasses of wine and indulged in sumptuous cakes, which were created and donated by a host of very talented locals. The combination of shopping and pampering went down very well with the guests. Anita Thatcher from Sherington, commented it was "a fantastic night with a great selection of treatments available and stalls to look at and buy from. I felt very pampered, and loved having the 'me' time whilst shopping ! Excellent event!" The evening drew to an end after the big raffle draw. Star prizes, generously donated by Champneys Spa Resorts and Tustings of Lavendon, were snapped up by the lucky winners, alongside a host of other prizes which were kindly donated from local businesses: Mandala, Love Lana and Rebecca Green Hairdressers. All stall holders and therapists on the night very kindly donated products and treatments, making the raffle a huge highlight of the evening! 'Wine, cakes, pamper treatments and a spot of retail therapy...and on a school night - what's not to love' says Trudi Smith from Lavendon, 'the amazing raffle draw created the perfect buzz at the end of a lovely night. It was a great success and I look forward to the next ! ' The Fundraising Team would like to thank everyone involved in making the evening such a tremendous success; therapists and stallholders, all the volunteers who worked all evening making sure the event ran smoothly and to everyone who bought tickets to support our Pre-school. The children of Lavendon Pavilion Pre-School will benefit greatly from all the money that was raised, and it will help to ensure it can continue to grow and offer an outstanding early years setting for local children from 2 years of age.
