The snow we currently have reinforces the need for more grit bins in Newport Pagnell. Residents have asked my Focus Team colleagues and I for more grit bins in the town. Did you know that there are no grit bins on the public highway in the whole of the Poets Estate?
The Council has repeatedly refused to supply more bins and in fact had proposed to reduce the number of grit bins in our town! We will continue to press the Council for more.

The meeting was not quite finished when along with the Mayor and Town Clerk I slipped away because we were scheduled to be elsewhere. Before leaving I promised to be along to further meetings and so to write of particular success stories from within Newport Pagnell and Olney.
