Newport Pagnell Young Farmers Club
NPYFC continues to meet every Wednesday evening at 7.30 and usually in Weston Underwood Village Hall. Sometimes though, meetings are held elsewhere when we go on trips or visits.
Between September and December we had a busy programme which included a Ploughing Match, a Farm visit to Boycott Farm at Stowe, visiting speakers and activity evenings. We also had our Club AGM and Harvest Supper, Annual Dinner and Dance, a Christmas Social with mulled wine and Christmas refreshments, a Quiz night and a Christmas Float which toured Stoke Goldington. We were lucky that Father Christmas was able to join us that evening and helped us to raise over £200 towards our chosen charity which is the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance. Along with other fund raising from raffles etc during the year we should be able to present them with a good size cheque towards their invaluable work.
Coming up over the next few months we have more guest speakers including Police Watch, a visit to Woburn Deer Park, and a talk about Drink and Drugs and a trip to Quasar in Milton Keynes.
We also have a Circus Skills event planned which is our new members evening on March 7th, so come and join us for a fun filled evening.
We will be working towards the County Rally and Country Fair which is in June this year and will be held at Waddesdon Manor. This will involve lots of fun competitions and activities both before the day and at the Rally as well.
On March 3rd we are holding a Race Night in Stoke Goldington Village Hall £7.50 a ticket, including a fish and chip supper. Tickets available from James Clarke on 07796 2012 76
If you would like any further information or would like to join us for any of our meetings please contact:
Jess Coltman (Chairman) on 07740 859 530 or Phillie Reynolds (Secretary) on 07523 208 003
