NEWPORT PAGNELL ROTARY CLUB
Charitable Festive Cheer
MeMbers of the rotary Club of Newport Pagnell were out and about during the period leading up to Christmas. six weekends of bucket collections at frosts Garden Centre realised an amount excess of £4,000 being raised for Willen hospice and other rotary approved charities. the relationship between frosts and the Newport Pagnell Club stretches back for around 15 years, and the club is extremely grateful for the centre’s help and the generosity of their customers in parting with their money.
Assistance with the collections was also provided by members of the Inner Wheel Club of Newport Pagnell and the rotary Club of Milton Keynes Grand Union.
Also in December, santa Claus, in the disguise of rotarian Arthur burge, assisted by rotarians President John Neale, David robertson and Don bower carried out the clubs’ traditional Christmas tree delivery when fourteen schools in the Newport Pagnell, sherington and stoke Goldington areas had the benefit of a free
Christmas tree for their school to decorate.
