Happy New Year! It’s this time of the year that we all make those very hard to keep resolutions, either to join a gym or to give something up, which are usually so hard we can never maintain them past the month of January. This year I am resolved to visit even more of my constituency, even more businesses, charities, schools and I am open to your suggestions as to what I should do next.
I have been reflecting over the past year and what a year it has been. I have become a barman, pouring pints all over the constituency, I have visited schools and businesses and I have learnt what it takes to
Minister’s Questions to challenge the Prime Minister, David Cameron, about this issue which will have an impact in us all.

authorities objection to the Nuns

I am not adverse to renewable energy sources; in fact they are critical as our finite resources will inevitably dwindle. However, I am strongly against placing wind farms in areas where there is risk of ruining businesses, homes and much of our surrounding beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside.
I am looking forward to meeting more of you this year and visiting more businesses, schools and charities. So if you have any suggestions, please contact me thorough the normal channels.

Before Christmas I held my usual Christmas card competition, which was open to all year 5-6 children across the constituency. I had a bumper year of children applying and the judges, Adam Grinsell from MK News and Anthony Spira from MK Gallery, had a tough time choosing the one winner and seven runners-up. The winner chosen was Megan McEvoy from Stanton School, whose winning design was a pair of robins signing. MK Gallery agreed to exhibit all of the entries
and we had a fantastic evening handing out the prizes to the surprised children and their families.
The one thing on everyone’s mind over the last few months of 2011 was the Nun’s Wood wind farm application. I stood up in Prime
