Calling all Cheeky Monkeys – come to Olney NCT’s Tea Party!
THE OlNEY BRANCH of the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) will hold their biggest party of the year – the ‘Cheeky Monkeys Tea Party’ - on Saturday, 4th June at the Olney Centre from 10am until 1.30pm. Come along and join in the fun!
“There’ll be lots of activities for babies and children including a baby zone, messy play by China Creations, T-shirt design, a colouring competition, Yoga for Tots, face painting and Toddler Time Song and Dance,” says Caroline French, who is organising the event with Aleshia Frost. “Around
100 families came along last year and it was a great success - buy your tickets in advance for this year’s party to avoid disappointment!”
This year there’ll be a ‘Best of Olney’ raffle sponsored by Captain Carpet, with some great prizes up for grabs which local businesses have kindly donated. “If you are a local business who’d like to support local parents and donate a raffle prize, we’d love to hear from you,” says Caroline.
Siobhan Murphy Photography will also be taking natural action photographs and a range of local businesses will also have stalls – thank you to Happy Days Toy Shop, Small Prints Fingerprint Jewellery, Avon Cosmetics, Jewellery by Ellie, Indian Head Massage by Jayne Stephens, and Cupcakes by Mrs P's Bakery for agreeing to come along.
Advance tickets cost £3.50 for the first child, £2.50 for siblings and £1 per adult. Tickets will also be available on the door but will cost a little more. Babies under one are free but they’ll need a ticket to get in. A children’s picnic lunch is included in the cost of the ticket.
The Olney party is one of many Cheeky Monkeys Tea Parties taking place around the UK this summer, helping the NCT to raise £50,000 to support parents. Funds raised at the Olney party will help Olney NCT continue to support local families – by running initiatives like the ‘Bumps and Beyond’ drop-in group held every Monday morning from 10-11.30am at the Olney Centre, or organising coffee groups.
