Sinclair Fabrics wishes Brian Thorogood every success for August
Sheila hands Brian a cheque for £ 1,045 as he drops into the shop during a training ride.
SHEILA ALDERMAN OF Sinclair Fabrics in Bozeat held a social coffee morning for customers, friends and members of the Ladies Section of the NFU. During the morning Sheila raised the amazing sum of £ 1,045 to sponsor Brian Thorogood on his ride from London to Paris in aid of the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust on 18th August, covering 300 miles in four days ( see April’s Phonebox ).
Brian said that the kindness and generosity of people like Sheila and her friends had been truly inspirational. This cheque, together with funds already raised, has brought the total so far to almost £ 13,000. A large portion of this is down to the great generosity of Phonebox readers. A huge thank you to all of you.
The truly great news is that Ernie, Brian’s Grandson with eye cancer, is doing really well.
