News from Lavendon School
Fundraising for Red Nose Day
Pupils and staff were asked to come into school wearing something red and wearing a funny hat. There were some very interesting outfits, hairstyles and some fantastic hats.
After lunch everyone took part in a three legged race across the school field. Despite the speed of some of the participants no one was hurt, though it was very close for certain staff members!
Two brave girls from Class 4 volunteered to be targets for a sponge throwing competition; this seemed to be the most popular event of the day!
Pancake Day
Once again the Lavendon School Association cooked pancakes for everyone in school, with a choice of four toppings children and staff were more than happy to taste each flavour. Following the pancake eating we held our own pancake race. Children from each class took part in the races. We also held a staff pancake race which was won by Mrs Hoccom, Class 3.
Many thanks to the LSA.
Class 1 are posting their letters
This week Class 1 made the most of a sunny afternoon by walking down to Lavendon Post Office and posting letters that they had written and addressed themselves. They bought the stamps for the letters from the school office.
After they had visited the post box they went for a walk around the village. Here you can see them on the playground having fun.
