Newport Pagnell Coffee Shop
The volunteers of The Newport Pagnell Coffee Shop have had another successful half year and at their meeting on 30 July were able to donate a further £6,000 to Willen Hospice. In the last 20 years over £126,500 has been donated to the Hospice from the sale of tea, coffee and cake.
Our thanks are given to all our customers who have made this possible.
The chairman reported that four of the volunteers attended the High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire’s award ceremony in April to receive a framed certificate for their work for Willen and the community.
We are looking for more volunteers, especially for Saturdays. This could be for one Saturday or more a month between 9.15–12.30. All we ask is that you bring a cake, preferably home made, and tea towels. You can find us in the Methodist Church Schoolroom in the High Street. We are open Tuesday to Saturday 10am–12 noon. K
