New Head Coach Joins Olney Tennis Club
We are really pleased to announce that Olney Tennis club have a new Head Coach – Nigel Willard – who will be offering tennis lessons to both members and non-members, beginners through to advanced players and from children to adults. Nigel, who lives in Olney, is one of the leading development coaches in Bucks and Oxon and has recently moved to the area from south Bucks. He is fully licensed by the LTA, is police checked and insured. Nigel will initially be offering groups and individual lessons on Tuesdays and Thursday for children. Nigel will also be running adult coaching for all levels so if you want to prepare yourself for the summer season or would really like to have a go at tennis, now is the time.

Under 15s win well against Wolverton!
Our juniors are showing the adults the way in matches. They played really well to beat Wolverton's youngsters 4-2 with the Olney stars being Jacob Petrou, Ben Cross and Xavuer Buisson.
Adults fight hard against winter gales
The B team had a tough match against Wolverton's A team and lost after fighting hard in the Mens and Ladies pairs and then the Mixed pairs. The full team was Simon
Barter, Gun Chui Hwang, Debbie King and Anne Foulkes (Fig 1). Anne and Gun won their Mixed pair playing brilliantly and they are pictured in action (Fig 2). The C team also lost against Wolverton B who were also strong and our team that day was Philip Ramos, Phil Bennett, Ruth Froom and Lynda Baker (Fig 3).

We are running a fun quiz night at the Two Brewers in Olney and invite teams of up to six to enter now! Or you can join a team and have a go at not too serious questions. There is a fish and chip supper so call 01234 710938 for tickets now.
