A Spring Concert for Macmillan
Well known band the James Goff Big Band will be treating local people to musical delights on Thursday 13 March at A Spring Concert For Macmillan, held at the Unionist Club in Newport Pagnell.
Newport Pagnell resident Valerie Bates is organising the concert to raise funds for the Milton Keynes Macmillan Cancer Support Appeal. Money raised at the concert will be used to fund local cancer services including the Macmillan Information and Support Centre at Milton Keynes General Hospital. This invaluable service provides patients, carers and relatives with advice, information and support to help cope with a cancer diagnosis.
Valerie has been supporting Macmillan for many years and was part of the original Committee formed to help raise funds to build the Macmillan unit at Milton Keynes General Hospital. She has organised several concerts for Macmillan in the past, in addition to many other events including regular coffee mornings.
The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets are only £10 pounds each. Come along to dance the night away, enjoy the sounds of the James Goff Big Band and most importantly help raise funds for local people living with cancer.
