All the children from Lavendon Pre-School would like to say a massive thank you to John and Terri at the Green Man pub for hosting another successful fund-raiser!
On Boxing Day we held Maggot Racing which has been a tradition for many years in the village. The day was lots of fun and a massive £344 was raised for the Pre-School. A big thank you must go to Rich Green, Steve Smith and Ratty who organised and ran the event. Everything went really well without any hiccups – apart from a few maggots turning round before crossing the finish line to go back the other way!
The strange but fun races were shown on a big screen and betting was in full flow with lots of people going home with plenty of winnings and much fun was had by all. Once again a big thank you to everyone involved and we look forward to it again this year! K
