Newport Pagnell Carnival Court 2007/2008
The newly elected Carnival Court are all proud to be representing Newport Pagnell. Jody Bates, age 15, Carnival Queen said: “I am looking forward to everything I will have to do during the next year”. The two Princesses, Shannon Phillips and Emilie Waller both age ten, are absolutely delighted and “couldn’t wait to tell their friends.”
Their prize includes a hair and makeover kindly donated by The Lifestyle Academy of Hairdressing, Newport Pagnell, followed by a Photo Shoot with the New City Photographic Society.
The Selection Evening was held on Friday 28th September and was hosted by Derek Ferris, a Consultant from Stimpsons Eves, Chartered Surveyors in Newport Pagnell who are the sponsors of the Carnival Court. Judging was carried out by the Newport Pagnell Town Mayor and his wife, also Elaine Tucker of Stimpsons Eves and Elaine Baron the Olney Court Queen Mother, with Terry Sapwell the Carnival Committee President as Adjudicator.
The Court’s first official duty will be at the Christmas Lights on 24th November which they are all looking forward to. If you would like the Carnival Court to attend any functions you may be holding please contact Debbie Bates, Carnival Court Chaperone on 01908 218587.
