Tickford Park Primary School
The big day finally arrived when Lovat and Riverside schools could officially call themselves by their new name, Tickford Park Primary School.
Friday January 12th was the launch day for the school with lots of events to mark the occasion. A tree was planted on land between the two school buildings and a time capsule with memorabilia chosen by the children from both schools was buried nearby.
A celebration cake made by a member of staff was cut by headteacher Ann Tobia in front of invited guests and the children were each given their own individual cake to enjoy before everyone went outside to release a balloon with a wish for their new school attached.
Ann Tobia said: “We now have everything in place, our new name, new logo and new uniforms, we can look forward to a wonderful future as Tickford Park Primary.” ❑
