Dear Editor
I hope this letter finds you well. I would be ever so grateful if you could put a few lines in the next addition of the Phonebox.
Basically Milton Keynes Vipers Goalball team got together back in 2002 and were going strong for a couple of years until we had problems with getting any funding. Well my task is to try and get the goalball team back up and running.
So please if there is anyone out there who would like to become helpers which include helping the team train and also drive the team to tournaments by the use of a minibus. Also if you are registered blind and would like to become a team member I would love to hear from you.

Dear Editor
My great, great, great grandfather, John Lett, was a drum-major in the 80th Regt. of Foot. He was born in Olney in 1796, his wife came from Northumberland and they had two sons – William, born in the Isle of Man and James, my great, great grandfather, born in Carlisle.
He obviously moved around with the army and eventually had a house in Rochdale (the town where I was born). I have seen his gravestone there in St. Chad’s Churchyard.
Looking through the census forms I found there were many members of the Lett family in Emberton and district. The 1901 census showed a James Lett, wife Mary Ann and son Bertie; Richard Lett, wife Mary Ann and son James; Thomas Lett, wife Elizabeth, daughters Ada and Harriet and sons Harry and Cyrie.
I am wondering if any descendents of these people, or any other members of the Lett family are still living in the area. I would love to make contact and learn more of the Buckingham branch.
