Tickford Park Primary School
Riverside and Lovat Schools are pleased to announce that as from Tuesday November 14th 2006 they will be known as Tickford Park Primary School. The choosing of the new name is the first public step towards the full amalgamation of the schools in January 2007.
The children were asked to vote on a selection of names on Friday November 10th which caused great excitement before Tickford Park was finally selected. The choice was ratified by the Governing Body on Monday 13th.
The name of the school was suggested by its location at the Tickford end of Newport Pagnell. This dates back to Medieval times when a priory was established in the town and named Tickford Priory by its founder, Fulke Paganel (or Paynell).
Headteacher Ann Tobia said “This is very exciting, as we can now move forward towards our new identity, choosing our new logo will follow shortly but we will be keeping the existing uniform colour of dark green for Foundation to Year 5 with maroon for our Year 6 for the new school.” n

PPI Forums monitor and advise the Primary Care, Hospital and Ambulance Trusts on how they deliver their service to the community. They are the voice of the public, with statutory powers to ensure that they are taken seriously by the NHS.
Forum members are volunteers who give their time freely for the benefit of their fellow citizens. The only recompense they receive (apart from expenses) is the satisfaction of knowing that they can really make a difference. n
