Once you%u2019ve lost capacity, it%u2019s too late.Remember even with an LPA you have not lost control of your finances while you are still able to look after them. For more information pleasecall us or visit our website01234 713 938www.orchardwills.co.ukOrchard Wills, Unit 2 Stanley Court, Bucks, MK46 5NHLasting Power of AttorneyProperty & Financial Affairs or Health & WelfareWhat will you leave behind?Single Will from %u00a3130 %u2022 Mirror Wills from %u00a3190A friendly service, office or home visits availableRon Hall being congratulated on being the longest-serving member of the Society of Will WritersWith Christmas over for another year we can look forward to the new one. No doubt seasonal celebrations were enjoyed around the globe but not for all. Whether it be a war-torn country, those who are homeless, lonely or lost loved ones over the year, Christmas can be a sad time for many people. At CRMK, we can refl ect on the loss of our treasurer, long serving presenter and the person who %u2018discovered%u2019 our dilapidated, disused public convenience and future studio home.As a child, do we really think about the loss of family members or friends? When you get older, that is an entirely diff erent matter. I lost my Grandmother and my wife lost an uncle on Boxing Day one year. That was tough but loss forms part of our personal life stories which obviously go back a long way. With current genealogy sites you can search through censuses from 1841 up to 1921. All sorts of other documentation are available on those sites and it%u2019s amazing what you can fi nd out.CRMKs life history dates back to 1978 when Cable Radio Milton Keynes started to make its mark. Since those early days of local broadcasting there has been a lot of change with the radio station. We%u2019ve had numerous homes and a few hundred presenters. As we head towards our 48th anniversary in 2026, current presenters might refl ect on what has gone before. Without those pioneering presenters and technicians, CRMK would not be in a position today where we can off er a chance for anyone to try a new hobby thanks to the latest %u2018behind the scenes%u2019 presenters who keep CRMK going, sometimes in very diffi cult circumstances. Christmas is not only a celebration but a time of refl ection of what has passed. The New Year by contrast is a time of refl ection of what is to come. As we move from the Chinese Year of the Snake to the Year of the Horse it is perhaps a good time to look at the horse%u2019s traits. Popular, attractive to others, warm hearted and enthusiastic the horse likes to be with people and not be alone. All traits that apply to CRMK; Radio is popular, we off er attractive opportunities for people to present a show and we have a fully equipped studio which we hope to upgrade as and when fi nances allow. Training will be given, monthly subs are low and CRMK positively wants people to use this facility so the current crop of presenters do not feel lonely! Presenters enter CRMK%u2019s world and most stay for a short time. Others stay for the long haul. It%u2019s the same for ancestral histories. Time marches on. Things change. People change. Priorities change. In my own personal life, new blood is coming into our family in March. CRMK are a little light on presenters at the moment and we need new blood at CRMK. Could that be you?Happy New Year to all.www.crmk.co.ukHistory, New Blood and the HorseCRMK RADIO
