Lewis%u2019s enchanting story is coming to Milton Keynes to celebrate 75 years since its publication, as Phonebox%u2019s Tom Johnston discovers.The timeless classic %u2018The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe%u2019 has embarked on a major new tour of the UK and Ireland to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the publication of the C.S. Lewis novel. Lewis%u2019s book was fi rst published in October 1950. Since then, more than 85 million copies in 60 languages have been sold. It is one of the top 10 best-selling books of all time. The stage adaptation of Lewis%u2019 iconic story enjoyed a hugely successful, critically acclaimed London run in 2022/23.%u201cWe can%u2019t wait for children and adults alike to join us on this spectacular new journey through the wardrobe and are proud to be marking the 75th anniversary of the publication of CS Lewis%u2019 novel with this tour,%u201d said producer Chris Harper.And director Michael Fentiman added: %u201cI%u2019m delighted to be taking our beautiful production of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe on a major tour. Katy%u2019s extensive stage career includes leading roles at Shakespeare%u2019s Globe and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
