Bozeat WI
Surprise Hen Party
Bozeat W.I’s October meeting is normally an AGM with harvest celebrations, but not this year. All members, except the Bride-to-be, knew a Hen Party was planned instead of Harvest activities, and making hush-hush arrangements became dif cult as the Bride-to-be is our
Treasurer. The Committee members, as bridesmaids, set the refreshment room like a wedding reception – as the photograph shows, having white tablecloths draped in pink and decorated with handmade pink paper carnations and tiny white lights. Songs were sung, starting with ‘Here Comes the Bride’, and ending on ‘Congratulations’. While Wedding cake and Prosecco were enjoyed, wedding stories were told and members’ wedding photographs became a guessing game as to who is it. Our Treasurer Jean married John on 22nd October in Sutcliffe Baptist Church, and all members wish them a happy life together.
The Christian Churches of Olney celebrate their common faith, and express their worship with refreshing diversity, from contemporary to traditional approaches, and thought provoking Bible teaching. Come along – we’d love to get to know you. More information is available from each Church, their leaders and websites.
