Thanks
I would love to thank everybody for being a part of what, I hope, will be the rst of many Musicians Against Homelessness events in our town. Special thanks go to Debbie and Ron and the team from the Phonebox Magazine, Molly Hepburn and the team at The Cannon, Al and Rob at the Newport Pagnell Working Mens Club, Trisha and Johnny Smith and team at The Coachmakers Arms, Brian Conner and team at the Royal British Legion. Pete Jelfs for doing sound all day at The Cannon, Gawaine Parker and team for doing sound at the Working Mens Club, Joshua Timmins for doing sound at The Coachmakers Arms and of course, my terri c hosts Ian Roberts, Dan Mayo, Oli Spring, Steve Draper and Stuart and Paul Hazell. In addition, I’d like to thank MKFM and The Citizen for media coverage, Jo Hines and volunteers for doing an incredible job with lea et distribution and George and the team at Central Barbers for spreading the word. Finally, thanks to the life-savers who manned the doors – Rachel Chilcraft, Richard Hedge, Craig Hudson, Ian Roberts, Blaine from Project Noise and of course Maggie Ford, who was a terri c help across the weekend. Many thanks to all performers, who along with everyone else, offered their services for free to raise money for the cause.
Remember everybody, as we sit down this Christmas with our families in our nice warm houses, opening presents – that we have done a massive thing to make this winter that much better for those who need our help. We, the people, have potentially saved a few lives.
Note: If people would still like to donate, they can text MAH to 70004 to give £3 to Crisis.
