P. 5

Editorial
Another fun packed issue this month. And it being August we have an extra two-page Activity Calendar inside showing you what to do and where to take the children, or yourselves, during the school holidays. We have our regular What’s On pages also so you have got lots to choose from.
The civil war we were expecting in the Tory party has, in true blue fashion, been sorted very quickly. Labour are taking a lot longer to get themselves sorted, but the sooner they do so the better for democracy.
One event that helped fashion our democracy was the Civil War, and one event that is definitely worth going to is the Civil War enactment in Newport Pagnell over the August Bank Holiday, with free parking and free entry you will find it difficult to find a better event in the area to go to. We’ll be there with our cameras so watch out, you might get ‘snapped’.
Also inside I see Mark Lancaster MP has been to a speed Interviewing day at Ousedale school. We’ve just had a couple of students from Ousedale in on work experience and I must say they have done a great job and I wish them the best for the future.
On a sadder note we must say goodbye to a friend and someone we respected very much, Brian White passed away recently and we attended his thanksgiving service at the Church of Christ the Cornerstone. We have some pictures of Brian at a few of the events we attended with him over the years inside the magazine. Condolences to his family at this time.
