Rosalind began her legal career over 20 years ago and completed a training spanning the majority of disciplines ;with an emphasis on Civil Litigation. She has specialised in dealing with family cases since 2007 assisting clients with divorce/ nancial and children matters. In recognition of her vast experience specialising in family work she is a Member of the Law Society Accredited Family Panel.
She has many years of court experience in conducting and acting for clients both as Applicants and Respondents in Proceedings. Rosalind believes in the importance of acknowledging the client’s needs and striving to achieve the best possible outcome. Her negotiating skills have proven extremely effective over the years she has been in practice leading to her cases reaching successful settlements for her clients. Throughout her legal career Rosalind has dealt with many challenging cases one of which involved acting for a party where the Financial Proceedings involved an Application for Service out of the jurisdiction of the
English Courts. This necessitated instruction of Experts, and issue of proceedings under the foreign process. Rosalind achieved a successful outcome for the client where the capital assets were in excess of a million.
A recent case she handled involving a
Children Act Application was with regard to a Mother seeking residence of her children and relocating to a different part of the UK. The issues in the case were highly sensitive and complex albeit Rosalind was able to secure the Court’s permission to allow the Mother to relocate with her children.
Rosalind takes a pride in ensuring that she handles all her cases personally and with the care and attention that is necessary
to ensure she gets the best possible result for the client.
Recently in her career she also trained as a Family Mediator and has further developed her skills in assisting clients resolve their problems without necessarily involving the court process.
Rosalind is a Member of the Family Mediators Association and also Resolution which encourage solutions that consider the needs of the family.
