We are thrilled to be welcoming the Saltmine Theatre Company to perform their ‘John Newton – Amazing Grace’ production in St Peter and St Paul Church in Olney – the very church where John Newton first preached 250 years ago this year. In his rectory in Olney he wrote the world-renowned and much- loved hymn ‘Amazing Grace’. “This is a powerfully moving story of slavery, freedom and the remarkable power of love and grace to transform a life” – Saltmine Theatre Company.

Earthy Explorers: Story Express will be 10.30 to 1 pm for the younger children (<6 years) and Earthy Explorers: Nature Detectives will be 2 to 4.30 pm for older children (>6 years).
These sessions will be packed with uniquely styled interactive and creative activities to promote ecological awareness with a sprinkling of Halloween for flavour! “The Rose and its History” a talk by Peter Scott on the botanical development of this iconic plant, its symbolic use in mythology and Christianity and in art and architecture. The speaker is a professional historian and member of the Historic Rose Group of the National Rose Society responsible for exhibits at Chelsea and Hampton Court. All welcome. Members £20 per year. Visitors £3 per lecture incl. refreshments.

A talk by Gerald Mann - Local Historian. “Olney’s Home Guard (Dad’s Army)”. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month. Membership fees remain at £5 plus £1 per meeting. Visitors £2 per meeting. Refreshments included.
Following on from the release of their brand new album ‘That’s What happens’ on Warner Brothers Records which entered the top 20 first week at and saw the duo Headline The Royal Variety Show 2013 Chas & Dave head straight again for the ‘ON THE ROAD’ tour. Chas & Dave began writing and The auditorium will feature unreserved standing in the wings, and reserved seating on flat, tiered and balcony seating. Tickets are on sale priced £25 in advance.

Celebrating fire, the magic of autumn and an extra hour in bed, arrangements will be similar to last year with a shuttle bus running from Prospect Place, Newport Road, Emberton, MK46 5JQ from 5pm to 6pm. Return shuttle 8pm- 9pm.
