After a board meeting last
week your editor of nearly 20
years has been removed from
the prem ises following a vote
of no con fidence (5-1). I have
taken on the role until, or if,
we appoint another editor.The
reason for the abrupt end to
what was possibly an historic
career was the decision to
include an article purporting
to be humour in th e magazine.
Although the article was Political correct ness wi ll be not writte n by the editor, he
allowed it to go to print, and after a compla int from (to date) one person who cc'd in the Chief of Police I called a meeting of the board and we fired him.
In future we shall not publish anything th at resembles humour, pathos, fun or takes themichaeloutofanybody.I promise, as I want to keep this job , that you will never again
our bye-word. We have had only three applicants for the jobwhichIadvertisedinPC Weekly (unfortunately for me) but I do think that we shall put the decision to a vote by you the readers .
