After the recent spell of very wet weather we still wa it for a dry spell to appear. It does seem to be on the horizon according to all the weather experts out there, and by the time you read this let us hope that , at last, a 'dry season' has finally arrived in this country. In case that 'dry season ' has arrived, and you are reading this with the imminent threat of a hosepipe ban, we have some pictures inside the magazine and on our website that have been kindly sent in by readers to remind us of what we have been through; the y show the full extent of the flooding . For those who have been affected by the severe weather condition we hope you return to normal as soon as possible . Helping bring us back to 'normal' at this time of year is the world famous Olney Pancake Race . We have done extremely well in the event for the past couple of years, and long may it last, but let us not forget that it is always a fun day, so do try and get down to support the event. We have details of late changes on page 34, so do take a look. The Cowper and Newton Museum have an exhibition on the day, so if you find yourse lf with a bit of free time why not pop in and see what is on offer? Now , getting back to the weather, as we often do in this country, Hanslope has plans for a Solar Farm that will be discussed at a public meeting (more details on page 29). If it guarantees the sun I'm all for it...
